  • The Cúrsa Comhrá was an excellent introduction to speaking Irish for beginners. It covered useful , everyday conversation topics, using simple scripts as a framework for each class. It included relevant vocabulary, helpful explanations on grammar and guidance on pronunciation. Most importantly, it provided the opportunity to practise speaking Irish with others of a similar level, in a friendly and relaxed way, taking away the nervousness and introducing some confidence. I would highly recommend it.

At the end of the six weeks, I already had the confidence to express myself in a range of topics using basic structures. As a professor of Linguistics and a language teacher myself, I was truly impressed at the excellence permeating the whole course: from the material to the way the classes were conducted -- including the individual attention and the friendly atmosphere, which quickly made me feel like I was among old friends.
